Dr. Helen Christopher
BDS, MSC, MCLINDENT
Helen graduated from the University of Wales Dental School back in 1992, and worked at the University Hospital in Cardiff in oral medicine and surgery before taking up a post as dental officer with the Bermuda Department of Health, working with children and special needs groups for close to ten years. During this time she completed a masters degree in community dental health through the University of London, researching the dental health of Bermuda's seniors for her dissertation. This work highlighted the unmet needs of the island's senior population and led to their inclusion in the remit of the Dept of Health's dental program. Helen's love of working with children led her back to school in 2003 to undertake a clinical master's degree in pediatric dentistry at the University of Bristol, and she then returned to Bermuda to set up her specialist pediatric practice. Initially based at Positive Image Dental, Young Smiles moved to its present location in Paget in 2015. Helen is on staff at King Edward Memorial Hospital and currently serves as Chair of the Bermuda Dental Board.
With 3 children of her own and a house full of pets, Helen has a busy life out of the office too. She is passionate about wildlife and the environment and loves travel and adventure -
